Not just yet – but we’re working on it!
GREEN Solar Academy and the Renewable Energy Industry Association of Namibia (REIAoN) are currently working towards a national quality assurance programme for PV installers, inspired by the successful PV GreenCard model in South Africa.
In the meantime, you can complete your SuperSolarSchool training right here in Namibia. When you’re ready, you can travel to South Africa to complete the SAPVIA PV GreenCard Assessment and become part of Africa’s largest network of quality-assured PV installers.
As the Namibian programme develops, we’ll keep our alumni and the industry updated every step of the way. We look forward to making this pathway available locally in the future.

Accreditation & Certification
All GREEN Solar Academy courses on offer at this academy are accredited internationally by the German Solar Energy Society (DGS). The 5-day SuperSolarSchool training is endorsed by the South African PV Industry Association (SAPVIA) as suitable training for undertaking the SAPVIA PV GreenCard Assessment.

Young Africa Namibia is an NGO that trains youth as part of an employment programme. Part of their training is a technical education, e.g. in IT, green building, welding or solar installations, as well as life and business skills to promote entrepreneurship.
Young Africa has run our Academy in Namibia since 2017.
