COVID-19 Documents and Communication procedure

GREEN Solar Academy operation during the pandemic

We will perform our trainings and assessments following the governmental guidelines and the GREEN Covid-19 protocol. Trainings continue with either a reduced number of participants or in bigger classrooms in order to guarantee social distancing. GREEN ensures:

  • A distance of at least 1.5 meters between everyone present at trainings
  • Desk spacing (at least 1.5 meters between desks)
  • Breaks and lunch staggered to other courses

The main pillars of our hygienic concepts are:

  • distance
  • ventilation
  • face masks
  • health screenings
  • no sharing of documents and tools

Every training and assessment participant is required to read the contents of the GREEN Covid-19 protocol and check the appropriate box on the online registration form to confirm that they will adhere to the Covid regulations of the training venue.

Compulsory PPE and Documents for trainings and SAPVIA PV GreenCard Assessment

GREEN participants of trainings must bring the following equipment to the training:

  • Face mask
  • Working gloves, clothes and shoes for the practical work
  • Own hand sanitizer
  • Own thermos flasks for hot beverages (recommended, obligatory in Cape Town)

NB: Participants of the PV GreenCard Assessment must present their ID on the day of the assessment. Failure to do so will disqualify you from taking part.

Communication

  • Approved participants receive all forms with the “course instructions” via email. Course instructions can also be downloaded via our website.
  • For every training, we set up a WhatsApp group for approved participants to share any latest updates/developments. You will get the link with an invitation to join the WhatsApp group in the week before the training starts.
  • We may send final information as late as the evening before the course/assessment starts and thus ask all participants to check their emails frequently.
