Solar Installer gift guide: What to get a solar installer for Christmas

Christmas time for installers

It that time of the year again, time for family, friends, and loved ones. With Christmas around the corner some of you are stressed not sure what to get your solar installer partners and loved ones, well we have a few ideas on what you can get them for Christmas this year.

Here are a few Christmas gift ideas for an installer

1. Multi-Purpose Crimping tool

Crimpers are tools used to make cold weld joints between two wires or a wire and connector, such as lugs. Ideally, the electrical and mechanical properties of the weld joint are as strong as the parent materials. Crimping tools are sized according to the wire gauges (using AWG – American Wire Gauge) they can accept.

2. Label maker.

A label printer is a computer printer that prints on self-adhesive label material and/or card-stock. A label printer with a built-in keyboard and display for stand-alone use is often called a label maker.

3. Set of insulated screwdrivers

An insulated screwdriver is constructed from non-conductive materials, in this set that material being a rubbery silicone. This is to prevent the user from the possibility of touching live parts of a circuit. Having the shaft and handle of the screwdriver protectively coated ensures the safety of the user when in an electrical environment.  Screwdrivers can be used in any electrical environments where an electric current may be exposed, it is advised that any professional or homeowner use an insulated screwdriver because the bare metal is a very good conductor of heat.
