10 Years of Training in South Africa
Training is our passion and area of expertise. Here is a collection of outstanding activities and projects we have realised over the past years. GREEN Solar Academy officially started operating under its new name in 2020. Before that, the two directors Antje and Vivian, led the training as maxx|solar academy.
Tailored Trainings
GREEN Solar Academy has already delivered in-house trainings and custom training for a variety of companies in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Somalia.

SANEDI

GREEN Alumni
An alumni is a person who has been part of, or took part in, a school, university, group or corporation. We liked this concept and picked it up for GREEN! So if you have participated in any of GREEN’s courses, that makes you a GREEN Alumni. Here’s what our alumni have to say about our training:

“I studied electrical engineering, and I’m currently doing my honours degree. GREEN Solar Academy was recommended by an engineer where I did my internship as a solar installer – he had done a solar training course years ago! The course is a great stepping stone to obtaining your PV GreenCard, especially if you only know the practical side, not the theory. I didn’t know how to size a system before SuperSolarSchool so I found that section really interesting. I found it easy to keep pace with the content, delivery was smooth and structured, gave me everything from the basics upwards.”
Boris Hategekimana, 2021

“As a beginner: With no electrical experience, I was sceptical that I would learn enough from the course, however they cover everything and they are patient in making sure that you understand everything. I am very impressed with what was taught and how it was taught. The lectures always emphasize safety and ensure that when venturing into this, you don’t put other people’s lives at risk. Lecturers always friendly and willing to assist with even the basic of questions. BIGUP to every one. I will keep on coming.”
Bafana Khumalo, 2021

“The SuperSolarSchool course was very well presented and offered a wealth of information and practical experience on solar PV system design and installation. Great preparation for the SAPVIA exam!”
Justin Blignaut, 2020

“I enjoyed every single minute of training. The facility is very spacious and well ventilated. The trainers are very knowlegeable, they engage with the learners by asking and answering questions from the learners.I would definitely recommend this training to anyone that wants to get into the solar installation industry.”
Ofentse Mogole, 2022

“I recommend this course to anyone who’s interested in the solar industry. This course is a must if you’re embarking on a career change into Solar. Regulatory implications, design and calculations to be successful in this industry, the lecturers are extremely well-versed in their field, making this course one of the most interesting.”
Jasper Theron, 2020

“After the first day of the course, I quickly found out that there’s quite a dizzying amount of information to digest and understand. I applaud the course facilitators for actively engaging and interacting with all students for learning experience optimization. The course has given me much more confidence in the PV industry and will recommend it to all in the PV installers.”
Humbulani Marole, 2020
