Expert training in commercial and industrial solar and solar business management

Build a business that can thrive beyond loadshedding

Commercial

If you’re in the solar industry, you’ll know what we’re saying is true: the residential market is a cash-strapped sector that generally only investigates alternative power options when they can no longer deal with loadshedding. And to date, we’ve had over 130 consecutive days without loadshedding.

So how do you insulate your company from that variability in demand and build a solar business that thrives in the absence of loadshedding?

From our experience, you are going to need to do two things:

Key benefits of the training

  • Advanced Training for Commercial PV Systems
  • Gain Industry-Recognized PV Design Qualification
  • Boost Your Business Potential

Stepping into the commercial sector

The clients in this sector are installing PV for entirely different reasons to households and the work is steady because decisions are not made on the basis of whether loadshedding is present or not but rather because it makes good business sense: South Africa’s solar tax rebate incentive allows companies to deduct 50% of their solar panel costs in the first year, 30% in the second, and 20% in the third year on qualifying investments above 1MW of generation.

If you want to take the next step in building your business or you are just looking to consolidate your skills, then this course is for you.

In the C&I space, there are further opportunities to diversify your revenue outside of pure new installations; think of annual inspections, service level agreements (SLAs), O&M contracts, asset management and more.
